There has never been so much money available for start-ups in France

Venture capital funds can invest up to 23 billion euros over several years.

Good news for French start-ups in search of financing: the venture capital funds on the market are doing well. Since January, Bpifrance has participated in the creation of seven funds, for more than 150 million euros, including Eiffel Essential, a growth fund focused on energy transition or Loxera, a fund specializing in health.

Today in France, the situation is historic. With 23 billion euros to invest in a few years, investors in the French venture capital ecosystem have never had so much money available. This amount can cover about four years of financing needs of French start-ups.

This reflects the dynamism of the French investment market, but also its newly acquired maturity. At the end of February, no less than three funds Serena Capital, Koreylia and Founders Future announced new fundraising, symbol of a year that is starting with a bang.
